da marjack bet: West Ham United have now lodged an enquiry over a deal for an “unbelievable” Premier League striker, who wants to leave his current club in January.

West Ham three points from safety after Aston Villa defeat

da brdice: West Ham led twice against high-flying Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon, but they ultimately came up short in a 3-2 defeat, with Nuno left frustrated by his side’s inability to close out games, saying: “There’s a major pivotal moment of the game, it’s the beginning of the second half, we are in front, we are leading, and we allowed Villa to get back in the game.

“It has been a factor in recent matches, we are leading and the leads are getting away from us.

“This reflects in less points, which reflects in more anxiety. We need much improvement in this area.”

The latest setback leaves the Hammers three points from safety, and the manager may be particularly concerned by his side’s defensive showings, having shipped 32 goals in the Premier League this season, the third-highest number in the top flight.

However, with Niclas Fullkrug determined to exit the London Stadium in the upcoming transfer window, it is also important to strengthen at the opposite end of the pitch, and the Irons are now stepping up a move for a new striker.

That is according to a report from Italy (via Sport Witness), which states West Ham have now lodged an enquiry over a deal for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee, who is also being targeted by Leeds United, AS Roma and AC Milan.

It has recently been revealed that Man United are hoping to receive £35m for the centre-forward, who wants to leave next month, with his heart set on a move to Roma.

It is stated the Dutchman doesn’t have much interest in signing for Leeds or the Hammers, but it remains to be seen whether Roma are able to get a deal done, as they are hoping to be given a discount.

The Hammers have reached out.

ByEmilio Galantini "Unbelievable" Zirkzee needs to leave Man Utd

At 24-years-old, the United ace needs to be playing regular first-team football, but minutes have been hard to come by this season, predominantly being benched or utilised as a substitute.

As such, the former Bologna man should leave the Red Devils for the good of his career, and there are signs he could kick on elsewhere, having been lauded as “unbelievable” by Statman Dave back in January.

The Netherlands international was also a reliable goalscorer during his time in Italy, chipping in with 16 goal contributions in his final season as a Bologna player.

That record suggests a return to Italy may be the best option for Zirkzee, and it would not be a major blow if West Ham missed out on his signature, given that he has scored just four goals in 40 Premier League outings.
